Tell the City to Put Housing First

City Hall's proposal for updating one-family and two-family zoning that covers the vast majority of Vancouver's residential land is laughably unambitious.

We can do much better.

The city's updated plan leaves the current restrictive rules in place for the vast majority of the city's residential land. Instead of more luxury detached houses, Vancouver needs to stop banning systematically more affordable apartments, rowhouses, social housing, and co-ops over most of the the city's land area.
